Beethoven 9
8pmBeethoven Symphonies are a set of nine transcriptions for solo piano by Franz Liszt of Ludwig van Beethoven’s symphonies 1–9. They are among the most technically demanding piano music ever written.
Professor Christopher Taylor will perform Beethoven Symphonies 1 and 9. Five vocalists will join in for the finale of the 9th symphony.

The oratorio tells the tale of Beauty being enticed by Pleasure and Deceit while Time and Truth struggles to advise her against temptations. To whom will Beauty adhere to?

Present Music: Reality Check
7:30 CDTWith this highly-produced, on-demand concert, Present Music blazes the trail for music-making online with cutting-edge music and visual presentation. Composers Frederic Rzewski, David T. Little, Gil Scott-Heron, and Emma O’Halloran highlight critical social issues from domestic prison reform to global women’s rights with a passionate call to action. Klassik, one of Milwaukee’s favorite hip-hop artists, will be PM’s featured guest, performing his positive and innovative music with the ensemble.
This concert will be performed by Present Music’s stellar musicians along with guest artists on a Milwaukee rooftop, and filmed in high-quality video and audio. On October 24, ticket holders and subscribers will be invited to talk with performers, composers, PM’s Co-Artistic Directors, and the rest of the audience before watching the concert video. Following the event, ticket holders and subscribers will have access to the concert video to watch on-demand until January 24, 2021.
